Hi can I ask how to install W7 via USB dongle? I have the .iso from Microsoft. What is the next step?

Do I just copy the .iso over to USB and then simply boot up?

@Rosso: You can install W7 from a USB device the exact same way you can install Vista. Take a look at Rick's handy guide for instructions.

I recently installed W7 Beta 1 (build 7000) myself and with the ethernet cable plugged in so that W7 could download drivers and updates, it all worked swimmingly. I ended up with a few unknown devices in device manager, but these were resolved by installing the following:

* JMicron drivers
* mini 12's battery / wireless switch
* mini 12's HSDPA drivers

If you manage to get it all working, I'd be interested to see your final Windows Experience scores. Mine seem to be lower than I would expect (compared to Vista scores that I've seen on this blog) - particularly the processor and aero graphics scores.

Anyone else care to post Windows Experience scores for a mini 9 with Windows 7 build 7000?

Hiya mate thanks for getting back to me and sorry for the late reply.

I did manage a very very easy install via a Sandisk 4 gig cruizer USB and a Vlited W7 on an 8 gig SSD.

However it was way too slow and the circle kept spinning and spinning. Boot up is quick, thats just about it.

Then Engadget leaked some info on the new mini 10 so I took the 9 back to Tecos and got my £195 back.
